Waiting...

Pearl here!

We finally got some snow up in here in New Year state. It was about time! I love snow. I especially love it when mommy and daddy bring it inside on their boots. Then I eat it all up!

But enough about snow...let's talk presents! Santa if you're reading this, I have been a very good girl year year. But Daisy...not so much. She didn't do anything naughty in particular - she didn't have to. Just look at her goofy face. You can tell she's a naughty puggie! But I don't mind if you bring her a little something as long as you bring me something more.

Goodbye dear stuffie friend

Daisy heres!

Oh, I am so sads today because I had to say goodbye to my dears friend, Dolphie. Dolphie and I have been very close for about 6 months. Every day I bite his bum, chew on his fin and try to pull the stuffings right out of him. Mommy has fixed him a few times, but he's gotten very thread bare and Mom can't do much more with him. The stuffings just won't stays in anymore!

So thank you Dolphie for all the fun.

P.S. Santa, if you are reading this, please send me another big stuffie. They are the best. I like them especially when they are bigger than me.

What Mom can do with her half brain!

Pearl here!

So Mom's brain doesn't always work so well. Like recently a friend had to tell her that there was an "other" inbox in her Facebook account. She had messages dating back to a year and a half ago! Really important messages about us!!!!

One nice lady owns a bidness named after us! Oh, wait. Mom said it's not named after us, it's just named the same as us - daisies and pearls and she was nice enough to send us a very nice message LAST YEAR. Oh, boy, Mom. You need to do something nice for your brain so it is nicer to you.

But more importantly, we won something in a giveaway! Luckily, it wasn't that long ago and the nice woman who gave us the giftie sent us the gift. We won a bee-yoo-tee-ful collar from a lovely doggie store in Denver, CO called Peace Dog.

What do you think?

Pretty cute, right?

Thank you so much Peace Dog for the lovely giftie!

And to all our friends and followers, Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hey, mom's! You're going to gives me some of that turkey you are cooking up, right? Because I'm a hungry baby!

Snuggly Sister

My sister isn't behind me snuggling, is she? Because I hate that.

Sincerely,
Pearl

Miss Barfsalot

Daisy heres!

So yesterday's Daddy was nice enough to spill turkey juice on me and all over the floor, the cupboards, the carpet. He and Mommy thought they had cleaned it all up but Mommy caught Pearl licking the cupboard today. And even though I gots rubbed down twice last night Mom still thinks I have some on me. She was going to give me a bath - she got all the stuffs ready and then...I barfed. And guess what? I didn't has to has my baths anymore!! Isn't that great? Now I knows that I only has to barf to get out of a bath. I wish I knew this before.

But the bad part is, I only gots half of my dinners. Mommy wasn't going to feed me at all - can you believe it?!!! But I was spinning and jumping when Pearlie gots her dins so Mom thought I could have a little bits.

Mommy is threatening to give me a bath tomorrow but I think I will just barfs again and get out of it.

Chill to the Max

Pearl here!

It's about a zillion degrees today so no going outside for puggies (unless it's for a quick business break). Instead, I'm staying in the air conditioning and chillaxing on Max the Monster. I had been looking for my Tigger to lie on (Mom's note: Tigger is a big plush tiger that looks like a tiger skin rug - used in a past life for pj holding), but Mom had the nerve to put Tigger in the washing machine. Can you believe it? I swear, she is obsessed with things being clean and not stinky. I don't know what's wrong with her, but I don't care. I'm cozy here.

Tuni Tribute

Sweet Winston Wilbur thought of having a memorial for our dear friend, Tuni, who passed away recently. Winston figures since Tuni loved her beds so much, it would be a great tribute if her friends posted pictures of themselves in their beds.

We loved Tuni and want to pay tribute to her - but we have to cheat a bit. We're away on vacation and even though Mom brought some beds, she didn't bring a cord so her camera can hook up to the 'puter. We also just have our little laptop which doesn't have all the pictures that our big computer has at home. So though we might not technically be in beds in the pictures below, we think these pictures capture the snuggly spirit of Tuni.

For you, Tuni! We love you and miss you.

What the hellacopter?!

Pearl here.

I'm quite concerned. Mom's gotten out the luggage which means she's going somewhere. She says we're going, too, but you can never be sure. I told her I'd rather us all just stay home, but for some reason she's dragging us to Rhode Island which sounds really far away. She washed a couple of our beds and some stuffies to pack in the car tomorrow which is a good sign because I'm pretty sure she and Dad aren't going to use those things.

But even though she keeps telling me not to worry,  I'm not taking any chances. I'm going to sit right here to make sure she doesn't forget me!

Mom, you're fired, jail time and remembering a stinky "gotcha"

Pearl here! Remember me? My mommy used to post pictures and stories about me, but lately, she's been too "tired' or too "busy" or watching too much True Blood to update our bloggie. Daisy and I have seriously been considering firing her for good! But where else are we going to get another secretary who will work for free AND give us belly rubs. Dad says he's also too busy.

We've been having a pretty good summer so far - except when Daisy tried to escape garden jail. See, Mom had gone out front to do some weeding which she like, NEVER does. We wanted to come out, too, so she put up a little fence for us.

Everything was fine until the mail lady came by and Daisy busted out! Mom had no idea Daisy could get out of the garden jail! Here Mom was knee deep in the garden with no worries about our safety and then boom, Daisy was following the mail lady to the next house!!!!

So no more garden jail for Daisy!

Speaking of my stinky sister, I see that today is Canada Day and so that means it's also Daisy's Gotcha Day. It was 5 years ago that Mommy and Dad brought home my nutty, stinky baby sister. Even though she's a big pain in the butt, she's also a pretty good sister most of the time and for some reason Mom and Dad love her like crazy.

So Happy Gotcha Day Daisy!

Our new...friend?

Daisy here!

If I look a little unsure it's because...

Mom made this last week and said he's our new friend:

Um, I don't know if Mom knows this or not, but he's a VAMPIRE!!!!

So I don't know if he really is our friend or if he's going to try and suck all our blood like the skeeters that live in our yard in the summer.

He looks like a friendly guy but you just never know. We've been watching The Vampire Diaries and we know that some of those vamps are okay, but some of them are very, very mean.

I'll just have to keep my eye on this guy and make sure there's no funny business.

A taste of spring

Pearl here!

I don't know why Daisy is giving stink eye:

I'm the one who is grumpy.

You wanna know why? Because besides being her goofy self,

Daisy is eating all the yard!

There's not going to be anything left for me.

Mom says that's not possible. That there's plenty of yard for us both to eat. But I don't know...Daisy sure can be a piggy pug.

Doggies living in the TV

Daisy heres!

So our friend, Baby and her mom, Ruth, told us about a show on Animal Planet called Too Cute (um, did they totally steal the name of our bloggie or whats?!). We had to go and checks it outs because the episode Baby watched had puggies in it. Mom was oohing and ahhing. It got me and sister a little scared because it almost sounded likes she was going to go out and get a puppy!

As for me, I was just freaked out by the doggies living the television. I gets that Momsy was watching a show but there were still dogs in our tv. Do you have that problem too?

Here I am trying to figure out how to get them out:

It didn't matter which way I looked or how much I barked, they stayed stucks in the tv...until the show ended. Weirds, right?

Besides being scared Mom was going to go out and get a new puppy from the show, we were also scareds because the pug puppies' mom and dad did agilities trainings and competing!!! We don't even understands. Agilities stuff means you have to get off the couch, right? Amazing. We really hope Mommy doesn't get any ideas from that Animal Planet.

Ready for our close ups!

Daisy heres!

So Mom had a birthday last weekends. We think she is about 475 years old but we're not sures. What we do know is that she's old not like us spring chickens.

Anyhoodlies, Mommy has been wanting a new lens for her super duper camera. The one that came with the camera brokes and Mommy really wanted a close up lens. Guess what? She got it! (Thanks to Daddy, Auntie Janet and Granny Caroline). So guess other what? She's been taking picture of us! Surprised? We're not. (Mom says when the guy at the camera store asked what she usually takes pictures of, she said, "my dogs". We knows that sure is no lie!)

So here are a few pictures with Mom's new lens.

We're pretty sures there's going to be plenty more! We will try and be good models, and maybe we will even get a few cookies.

Happy weekend!

Lookin' good in my Auntie Melissy Cozy Couture

Pearl here!

So Mom finally got her act together and ordered me my very own sweater vest and barklava hat made by Aunt Melissy. I've been needing a new sweater because I have some stinky arthritis near my back end and my other two sweaters were not giving me enough breathing room near my legs and lower back.

But my new sweater vest is perfect! I have a lot of range of motion and it's so easy to take my sweater off. Plus, I look mighty adorable in my new outfit. I had a photo session yesterday with Mom & Dad and for some reason they were laughing their brains out. I don't really get that part, but I was nice and toasty and styling in my new duds so I just ignored them.

Of course, as you can see my creepy sister had to get into some of the shots. But she didn't get an outfit because she's naughty.

Oh, wait. Correction.

Mom says it's because she doesn't like to wear clothes and sits like a statue whenever Mom dresses her in anything. But I still say she's naughty.

I hope everyone is as cozy as me this weekend!

A gene for snuggle worm?

Pearl here!

Mom has been reading an article about doggie DNA in the most recent issue of  National Geographic. It says that there is not a lot of DNA difference between breeds and that if you switched maybe like 3 genes, you could turn a pug into a labrador. Or something like that. I was kind of confused because I thought genes were the blue pants Dad wears. But no, there are things inside me, you and every living thing on the planet.

The article had a graph showing 85 doggie breeds clustered into 4 groups - wolflike, herders, hunters and mastifflike. Doggies like chow chows have mostly wolflike and a bassett hounds are mostly hunters. Guess what puggies are? Mostly herders. Yeah, we know. Mommy was like, "waaahhhht?" But then she remembered how me and Daisy bump into her leg when we're running to get treats in the kitchen. She thinks maybe that might be herding behavior or it could just goofballness.

Mom actually thinks that puggies have mostly snuggle worm DNA and she can prove it with this picture of me from this morning.

But I don't know. I think I see a little wolf - what do you think?

Oh, no she didn't

Pearl here.

My sister and I don't look like we've be scarred this week, but we have.

Mom gave us a bath the other day which is bad enough. But then as she was getting ready to go to work, she noticed me sitting on my blankie shivering. I thought she should stay home from work until I was warm. But no. Instead, she got out this:

Mom calls it a "hair dryer" but I call it a torture device. Did you know that thing blows warm air?! And makes a funny noise? And that Mom grabbed me and WOULD NOT let me go? She said she couldn't go to work with me shivering like that so she held me while I was trying my hardest to get away until my furs was dried.

Then it was Daisy's turn. Oh, boy. Daisy was too quick and Mom couldn't hold her squiggly body long enough to get her furs completely dried. But my silly sister did not have to be dried completely because she wasn't shivering. She was just her regular goofy self.

I tell you, if Mom tries that thing on me ever again, I am going to scream.

I think this guy in the purple should write a song about us and the things we have to go through.

We hope all our friends have a good weekend without baths or blow dryers!

What the...? from the pug vault

Daisy heres!

Mom's been going through some old photos agains and came across this:

That's me in front and that's my sister in the back. Can you tell what we're doing?

Max the Monster

Pearl here!

Our secretary has been slacking off and didn't post a very important blog we wanted her to post. It's about our Christmas presie from Santy Paws.

First off, I was a bit shocked when Mommy & Daddy opened their presies and only ONE presie was left under the tree.

"Uh, Mom, I'm fairly alarmed here. ONE present who is for? I hope it's for me and not Daisy."

Turns out, it was for both of us. Oh, heck no go.

That's Daisy' butt. She was getting right into the action. AND she started to eat the cookie that was attached to the ribbon. We finally shared, but boy, she can be a piggie-pug.

Finally, we got it open...

"Mom, what is it?"

Turns out, it's a big pillow to put your butt on AND a huge stuffie.

It smelled pretty good, but I wasn't going to have anything to do with it. I mean, sheesh. I have to SHARE it with my sister. Daisy didn't waste any time. Mommy went to put the wrapping paper in the recycling and came back to this. Pretty horrible, huh? Daisy being cute. Harumph.

So I didn't use it until a few days ago. Turns out, Max is pretty comfy and my sister isn't on it ALL the time so it really wasn't a bad gift at all. In fact, it is a pretty good gift. Thanks Santy! (but next time maybe you can bring us 2 Maxes)
