Christmas Photos Outtakes

Daisy here!

Mom's saids we were really good girls this year while we were having our Christmas photo takens. Especially me! Pearl is always good but I can be very exciteds - I just want to get to the treats parts of the pictures! But this year I sat like a very good girl. Mom's didn't choose these two pictures thoughs because she thinks I looks awfully worrieds. And I'm tiltings my heads this way...

...and that's a way...

But Pearly has the bestest baddest Christmas photo:

We don't even knows what she's doing! But she looks awfully means. She was probably getting ready to bite my butt...

We do know what we will be doing in the next couple of days - waiting for Santa, eating yummies and spending times with our dear friends and family. We might even do some licking!

We hope you all have a wonderful holiday! Merry Christmas!

I'm looking pretty confuseds because Mommy and Daddy have so many names for that sometimes I forget that my name is Daisy.

Here's some of the names they calls me:

Pumpkin
Daisy Boo
Daisers
Days
Teddy Pug (one of Mommy's faves)
Snufflegator
Stinkmeister (one of Daddy's faves)

Do you have lots of names, too? Why can't our Mommy's & Daddy's makes up their minds?!

Do you see a problem with this picture? No presies!!!! Mom says I have to wait until like 10 months from now until Santy Paws comes but I want my presies now.

And in the mean time, could someone take this cat off my head?

Geez Dad and Christmas Cards

Pearl here!

So the other day I'm attack...I mean playing with my sister and then sit down to rest after my hard work. What does Dad do? He throws Flatty McPurple - our very flat and very purple toy - on my back. I didn't even know until Mommy started laughing and taking pictures.

Gee, Dad. Thanks a lot.

Now onto Christmas business (well, not business like we do in the backyard...)...Mom ordered some pretty darn cute cards (us!) and we wanted to share them with our friends. If you would like a Christmas card, please email us pearlanddaisy at gmail dot com!

Eau du Guinness

Pearl here!

I'm just chillaxing on my Teddy chair while Mommy tries to figure out why my head smells like beer. As Daddy is the only one in the house who drinks beer, she thinks it's his fault. But he says there is no way he spilled beer on me. So now they are both wondering why I smell like beer...I'm not saying one way or the other but they do leave me alone in the house and I may have figured out how to open the fridge door.

No puggies were harmed

Daisy here!

Mommy wanted to say that no puggies were harmed in the making of our curling video even though Pearl looks like she is a killa! That's just the way she plays - even with Mommy sometimes! Pearl thought that I was trying to plays with her when I was really trying to attack that broom...but looking at the video we sees that it may looks like Pearl is trying to take a chunk out of her sista.

Here we are not attacking each other. Mommy calls this picture "Sisterly Love" or "Can I Share This Green Blankie With You?"

Curling is scary

Daisy here!

So's we didn't have any Halloweenies on Monday because Daddy had to work and Mommy went curlings. We know. What the heck is curling?! We thought it was something she dids to her hair, but no this curling is about going and standing on ice for 2 hours and then pushing a big stone around with a broom.

Okay, see? Weird. A lot of Canadians curl and Mommy is Canadian but she never curled in Canada. But she did buy a broom from a company in Canada and when it came she showed it to us. We don't like it as you can see:

We never want to see that thing again. Thanksfully Mommy keeps it hidden away in the closet because the broom has to stay clean and she doesn't want to get pug furs all over it. See? Crazy. Aren't you supposed to get furs on a broom?!

Yeah, I'm all that

Pearl here!

This past weekend, our playgroup had a Halloween party at this very cool place. Before we went I tried on Daisy's costume.

It was too big so Mommy had to bring it back to Target and get a smaller one (ah...note to Mom - you nee to feed us more so we can fit into mediums, please).

Before our small dog party, we helped Mommy check people in at the big dog party. Here I am ready for customers.

And then this happened. Jail.

"Uh, hello, Mom. Can't you see how worried and sad we are in here? This thing is made for babies. Who knows what happened in here." (*Mommy's note: this was our friend Tara's playpen she brings with her for her 4 puggies)

Daisy even tried to escape, but no dice.

We thought things were getting better when Mommy carried us through the big dog party (kind of scary! We got sniffed by an Irish Setter. We're pretty sure he was trying to decide how we'd taste), but she fooled us when she put us into a little side room with our friends. Now, we were ALL in jail.

It was pretty rough, but we finally got to put on our costumes.

And socialize. This guy had a lot to say, let me let me tell you.

And this gal was sure surprised to learn that she had a headless horseman on her back.

But the best part came at the end when I won an honorable mention in the costume contest. The ladies from the animal league let me pick whatever I wanted from the things they had brought to the event. I chose a soft plush bone! It's soft and a bone! And I love it! And I think those judges did a great job. My stinky sister didn't win a thing! (don't tell anyone but I will share my bone with her anyway).

Oh, boy, this is a long post today! It's probably because we're so happy to have our bloggie back. We found it really hard when the meany had control over it. We're so grateful to our friends for all the support and we also want to say a big thank you to Yoboy on the Google help forum. He's not a Google employee, but a "top contributor" which probably means he's won a few plush bones in his life - or if he hasn't, he should!

We're back!

After weeks, Google finally got our blog back from the nasty hijacker! And just in time,  too, because we have some awfully cute pictures from our Halloween party to post but right now, we're going to rest after a busy (stressful day - our blog had been accidently deleted and Mommy had a major freakout when that happened).

Yay to Google!

Wordless Wednesday (almost)

Daisy here!

I'm doing muchs better! No more Big-D, but I'm not letting Mommy off the hook so easily so I haven't pooped since Monday. She keeps asking me and I keeps saying, "Nopes. Don't needs to go." Mommy thinks I will go soon and if not, I'm seeing my regular vet on Friday for my annual.

Happy (poop free!) Wednesday!

Keeping Mommy on her toes

Daisy here!

So I's been thinking that Mommy has been having a bit too much fun and relaxation this summers and thought it was time to shake things up.

This is me yesterday morning before the trouble started:

It's hard to tell by just looking at me but my belly was getting ready to go all "Excorsism-y" (like the pea soup only from the other end). The Big-D (diarrhea) started just after lunch when I asked to go out and then stayed in the mudroom where I left Mommy an unexpected present. It wasn't much but it was enough to scare Mommy. Even when I was a puppy and had wormies, the Big-D didn't just leave me unannounced. The unexpected pooping happened a few more times, in the living room and kitchen. I felt like a cow!

Things got worse. Mommy tried to give me the tiniest piece of bean later because she and Daddy had to go out and I had to go in my crate and I ALWAYS get bean. I sniffed it but didn't want it. This has NEVER happened, evers. This worried Mommy more, but not quite enoughs so I then put on my saddest, sickest face and could hardly move around the house. But even that wasn't enough, so I had some poops with what might have been bloods.

That did it.

Mommy brought me to the emergencies vets at 9:00 last night. Everybody said I was really cute and the doctor gave me some medicine. Mommy felt felt better because she learned I didn't have a fever which she was worried about.

Today, I'm feelings much better. I had some Big-D this morning but it wasn't like yesterday at all so Mommy and the vet think I'm on the mend. I hope so, too, because I'm getting hungry! (I don't like rice for breakfast - the chicken was good though...)

Air Show, Scare Show

Daisy here!

Yesterdays, we heard a huge booming noise outside. Mommy said, "They're here" and I ran outside barking my little brains out, looking for whoever Mommy was talking about. Turns out "they" were big boomer jets in the sky called "Blue Angels" (Daddy says 'blue angels' are farts you light with a match but these were not the same). They have been practicing for the air show this weekend right over our house.

This one came so close, Mommy could read the writing on the wings!

Me and my sister stayed busy, toodling around the yard while Mommy frantically tried to snap piccies of the jets.

But, boy those Blue Angels practice for a long time! We got hots and tireds and had to rest.

Turns out, we're weren't the only ones in the garden. We found this guy on the watering can. He probably had a really good view of the Blue Angels from where he was sitting.

Looks like we have plenty more boomer jets to look forward to as the air show lasts all weekend. Although Mommy loves the planes, we are going to stay inside where it's quieter.

Leaking Pug

Pearl here!

It's too hot to sit outside today so I'm lying in my bed. Even though it's nice and soft, I like to put my head on the carpet so I can feel any vibrations near my food bowl.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Power Peepers

Daisy here!

Daddy sometimes has a banana before bed and I'm always rights there to gets my share! Sometimes, though, it seems that Daddy doesn't see me so I have to use my super duper Peeper Power to hypnotize him.

Sometimes even the power of the peepers doesn't work so wells and I has to move closer so that my whiskers tickle his knee.

But in the ends, Daddy always shares.

Here's the dead banana - the yummy bits are in my belly! (And Daddy's and Pearl's)

A winner and our trip!

Daisy here!

We're sorry it's taken our secretary so long to post the winner of our Almost Summer Giveaway but we's were away in Mun-tree-hall. We used a random number thing-a-ma-gingy to choose our winner and so without further ah-doodoos, the winner is...Wilma!

Wilma said, though, that if she won she would donate the vest to our friends Southern Fried Pugs for their new rescue. So congratulations Wilma and Southern Fried Pugs!!!! If Southern Fried Pugs email us a pearlanddaisy at gmail dot com with your address, we will send the vest out to you.

And now about our trippies.

We had so much funs visiting our family and friends! I played a lot with Gigi, Mommy's grandniece (boy, that makes Mommy sound old, eh?)

Wonders why I look so sad in this photo? That's because there are all these feets around me and I"m not licking any of them!

Here's me and my sister in the backyard with Gigi while she hops like a bunny.

And finally, here's Pearly with one of her favorite peeps - Uncle Rick. Pearl loves Uncle Rick because he gives her meat! And lots of it! Things like ham! And burgers! Yum! Years ago, Uncle Rick also used to not let Pearl on the couch at their house so Pearl humped his leg and now he lets her go up whenever she wants. And he rubs her and tells her how cute she is.

Now, we're going to rest up before our next trip next week to Torontoes!

Almost Summer Giveaway!

Pearl here!

So seeing as it's finally warmed up in our part of the world, we've been thinking about summer. Mommy has also been busy doing some tidying up and she found this life vest for doggies in the closet the other day:

She can't remember, but she's pretty sure we won it somewhere! I can't remember either, but we've never used it because we don't spend much time by the water. We thought some other puggie (or doggie) might be able to use it as it is brand new, never been worn except by me to model it.

It is a size medium and fits me perfectly! (I weigh about 18lbs). Notice the cute little handles on top? That means your mommy or daddy can carry you while wearing it. How cool is that?

To enter the giveaway, please leave a comment saying what you're looking forward to most about summer! We will keep the contest open until Sunday June 5 (JUNE?! Can you believe it?!)

Have a good weekend!

Oh, and here's one other shot of me in the vest.

Bad pugs and our first video!

Daisy here!

Mommy boughts some new flowers and planted them. But we keeps getting into trouble because we like to eat the grass and the flowers! And then we like to stomp on the flowers after we've finished eating. Mommy says she'll be lucky if she has any flowers left soon.

Mommy bought a new camera - it can take videos! So guess what Mommy has been videotaping? That's rights! Us! Being bad!

Not so perfects after all

Daisy heres.

So recently Mommy noticed something funny going on with my ear. It looked like the color of my fur was changing. It started off in a small spot and last week, it was down one edge of my ear. You can maybe sees it in this photos:

Mommy gots so worrieds that before bed on Thursday she googled it and saw that it might be mites, also called mange or scabies. These were not good words to Mommy. So the next day we went to see Dr. G. The good news is, I don't haves mites. The bad news is I'm not as perfect as we thoughts I was.

Dr. G. said that the strange coloring on my ear and the way my fur was coming out there was because of a deformity. Oh, my gosh. I can't believe that I's deformed! Well, my furs anyway. See how sad I am lying on Daddy's lap?

Here's close up of my sadness just so you can gets the full effects of my misery:

It's been very hard for me accepts this new realities. But I will tries. Canine Carry Outs - my favorite treat - sure do help. And this week, Mommy is taking us to class for "educational" purposes. I am sure I will get lots of loving from Mommy's students. We just won't tell them I'm not so perfect.

Pug Thoughts Monday

Pearl here!

Daddy came home early today because he's sickies. Daddy is, like, NEVER sickies so nobody is happy about this. He thinks it was something he ate but we doubt that because food is yummy and good unless it isn't. Then it can make you sick. So Daddy probably is right after all.

In honor of Daddy, our Pug Thoughts Monday picture today features me and...Daddy!

To play, post in the comment section what I'm thinking in the picture below.

Happy Monday! And please feel better soon Daddy!

Daisy the Bullmastiff

So Daisy heres!

Spring finally sprungs and me and my sister couldn't be happier. We just loves going outside like a million times a day! And Mommy doesn't mind at all opening and closing the doors to let us in and out as many times as we want!

Here's me and sister in the yard. Don't I look huge? Mommy thinks I looks so big in these pictures because of the camera angle and the slope of the yard but I think I'm turning into a Bullmastiffs. What do you think?

It really doesn't matter which I turn, I'm one big doggie!

Because I took up so much space in those pictures, here's one of Pearl all by herself.

She's not turning into a Bullmastiffs but she said she wouldn't mind getting as much food as one of those doggies get. Me, too!
