My terribles life

Daisy here.

As you can see, I'm not a happy puggie.

It all started yesterdays...

I woke up, ate my breakie, went outside with my sister, then played with Daddy. But then something weird happened. I got taken to see my vet, Dr. G. Usually, I don't mind going to see Dr. G since I go every 3 weeks to have my bum squeezed but yesterday was way different!

This time I went there and they LEFT ME!!!!!! I waited and waited until after the lunches and then Dr. G gave me something that made me feel real sleepy. Next thing I knew, I wokes up to THIS!!!! The horribles collar around my neck. What was Dr. G thinking?!

I'm having a hard times doing everything. I bumped into Mommy's calves about 20 times already because I can't tell how bigs I am with the collar. Mommy had to put carrots on my water bowl so I would drink out of it. Mommy says, too, that I am acting exactly the way I act when I wear clothes - I just sit down and look terribly terribles - exactly the way I feels with this dumb thing around my neck.

The list of terrible terribles goes on. I can't play. I can't go up and down the stairs. I have to have my leg wiped dry every time I come in from the back yard! And I get snow in the collar because it's stupid. And I can't lick anyone's feet!

Even though the collar is the worst, you wouldn't believe what I discovered - Dr. G also shaved my front leg and put some stitches in it, the kind Mommy uses to stitch up her crochet stuffed animals. I think Dr. G has gone off the rails.

So you can see how terribles my life is now. Mommy says I have to keep the collar on for 2 whole weeks. That's like 75 sleeps to a puggie!

But there is one good thing about my lifes and that's my wonderful bloggy friends. Thanks for all your comments and helping Mommy feels better yesterday. She said she aged 10 years over the past couple of days which isn't great because she's so old already!

Mommy also wants me to tell you that Dr. G said the thing they took out of my leg (what?!! they took something out of me?!) doesn't look like anything to be worried about - but Mommy is going to worry anyway until they tell her for sure that was nothing serious. We should find out by the end of next week. Until then I am just going to curl up on the couch. Wake me when this stupid collar is off!

oh dear! I heard mum call that thing the "lamp shade". Whatever it is I hates it too! The good things is that 2 weeks is not really that long especially worth its if that thing they tooks out is nothing at all but a lump. It will all be worths it. Until thems let your momma wait on you hand and paw.... I mean what does she expect if she is gonna makes you wear that silly things then you should gets the full out royal treatments.

We is happy about the news of the lump. YEAHS!

Tell your momma not to worry too much. Sounds like that crazy Dr. G hasn't flipped outs too much..... I thinks he gots that lump thing under control. Mum says you just had "surgerys". It is normal for the vet to do those things, to gets you betters. (PFT ok Mum next time we send you to the vets for the surgery and you can wear the collar!!!!) BOL

Now that I've read your thoughts about being left at the veterinary hospital I will think long and hard before taking out pets there! How horrible to be whisked off to the vets without warning! But, you know that your mom had the very best intentions, right? And now you know that there is absolutely nothing wrong with your leg! Yeah for you!
Be sure to check out my blog today because I am hosting a SILLY SATURDAY PHOTO CAPTION CONTEST, okay?

Hi Daisy! I just came across your blog and it's great. I'm sorry to hear you have to wear The Cone. Oscar had to wear his for two weeks, too. He wasn't a happy puppy, but then he got used to it (more or less). I hope you're feeling better soon and that the test comes back okay!

Hi Daisy- the lumpy is gone for good now,, so all we need to do is get you and your mom feeling better. Maybe you have what I had,, which turned out to be ok.

I know there are so many things you cannot do right now, and it makes life so boring to not be able to play and stuff. And who likes to keep running into the walls.
Be sure to look cute for extra treats and stuff.
I am still keeping my paws around you and your family.. so don't be afraid- everything will be okay

Glad to hear that you are home from your terrible vet trip. That surgery stuff is not fun!

You need to move in with us. The cone is banned here. Funny story why. Petunia had scratched her cheek really bad (another story) and mom went and got her one of those inflatable donut collars so she couldn't scratch herself anymore. She couldn't wear the cone because it would rub up against her cheek. Well, Tallulah thought she'd take advantage of the situation. She would sneak up behind her and bite Petunia's butt. Mom thought she'd be all smart and teach Tallulah a lesson. She made Tallulah wear the cone so she couldn't bite Petunia. Unfortunately, Tallulah caught the cone on her crate and messed up her neck, compressing a disc in her spine. Mom felt terrible about that one. Fortunately, Tallulah healed just fine, Petunia healed just fine and the cone is no more. Only the inflatable one for us. They are awesome because you can still reach your bowl and they have a built in pillow!
Mom got ours at Petco.

Hi Daisy! You are SO CUTE in your "Cone of Shame"!!! Mom says to be sure NOT to look up when it's raining outside!!! (HAHAHAHA...she's so easily amused!)

We'll be very relieved to hear that your beauty lump was NOTHING when you get the final word back next week!

Try to hang in there with the cone. Maybe mom can put some pink pompoms and glitter on it to make it more fashionable for you!

Love,
S-Dog

Pee S. Mom thinks that you, me and Sequoia all look very similar and have a lot of the same expressions. Yeah, I know we're all fawn pugs and all....but your mom will understand!
