Sue here!
Last week I came across a blog - Cottage Garden Studio and fell in love with the drawings of the artist, Sarah, who owns the blog. She was holding a contest so I entered the contest and then became a follower. I hadn't even noticed until she told me, but I was her 100th follower and just for that, she emailed me and told me she was going to send me a treat! I swear, I was so excited (just ask the hubbie).
Yesterday, I received not one but TWO treats from her and was so touched by her generosity and her talent.
I got two drawings. One is of a unicorn - LOVE this picture:
And the other is of my baby Daisy! Sarah made the drawing from a picture of Daisy as a puppy (see the photo in the Daisy's birthday post below). I can't tell you how happy this made me!
I'm going to treasure these gifts forever. Thank you so much Sarah!

Fun at the park
Pearl here!
Mommy's a bit behind on the pug happenings in the house so today I'm posting pictures from last weekend. Since then it's gone from winter to summer with only an inch of spring. Good thing Daddy put the air conditioner in the bedroom so we could all sleep last night!
Anyhoodlies...Mommy and Daddy took us for a drive along Lake Ontario last week. We were going to stop and look at some old stuff (they called it "historical") but we could only see plaques by the side of the road so instead we went to the park. It was fun! It was cold! Daddy brought coffee! You can see it in this picture - it's Tim Horton's.
It was also sunny. We should have brought our sunglasses:
We found this big ole tree. I snuffled around it.
But then I found some lovely flowers to sniff. Oh, boy I was having a great time sniffing these guys...
...until Daisy had to start sniffing the exact same ones! Geesh, little sisters.
Yesterday, we went to another park to stare at birds. Daisy and I fell asleep. Well, come on!!! Birds?!
Mommy took some pictures. We're pretty sure she'll post them but who knows when!

Face In Hole Part Two
Sue here!
I've been having fun at Face in Hole again.
First here's Pearl:
And baby Daisy:
Here's Daddy (aka Andy, the hubbie) working his British heritage:
And me - I love this picture because for the first time in 15 years I'm skinny! I wish losing weight could be so easy...
When we did our first Face in Hole post a few weeks ago, our friend Melissa of Pug Notes had a great idea - she thought it would be fun if we chose one scenario for people to put their doggies (or kitties!) faces into, have them send the Face in the Hole final pictures to me, and then I'd post them in a gallery. So that's we're going to do!
I chose the King Tut scenario. Here's Pearl modeling it:
Create your own FACEinHOLE
If you want to play, go to Face in Hole, put your face (or whoever's face you want) into the King Tut scenario then email me the code for at it pearlspuglove at frontiernet dot net
I'll post a link to the gallery once I have it up and running.
Happy Friday!

They say it's my birthday...
...and I believe them!
Daisy here! I'm two years old today. Whoo-hoo!
When Mommy found me, she really wasn't supposed to be looking for another doggie but she saw an ad and emailed a lady with baby pugs. Mommy thought she could still resist and so she asked for the lady to send a picture. This is what Mommy got back:
Mommy fell in love and told Daddy about me. He wasn't so happy but then he agreed to come and meet me. The rest is history!
Here I am exploring the back yard at home for the first time:
And here I am giving good face:
And here is me and my sister! She wasn't so crazy about me back in those days when I was littler than her. I don't know why! All I wanted was to play, play, play! And playing is fun!
Now, I'm a big two year old girl, I find I like doing big girl things like lying quietly in the sun with my sister.
Happy Birthday me!

Happy Easter!
Hi! It's the Easter Puggie here wishing everyone a very happy Easter! And to say that my sister is not such a great Easter puggie because she wouldn't wear the ears. I'm not sure why but every time Mommy puts anything on her, she tries to take it off which is like CRAZY because you get treats when you wear stuff. Everypuggie knows that.
This is the longest Daisy wore the ears for - a whole half a second:
We hope everyone is having a good one!

Snuggling with my wubby
Mommy told me the white cold stuff had gone away for awhile but it came back. I don't want to go out or do nothin'! I just want to snuggle and suckle on my wubby (his real name is Flatty McPurple but Mommy seems to remember the name "wubby" from the movie "Mr. Mom" - she thinks it was the little kid's blanket).
Let me know when spring is really here.
Love,
Daisy
