Sweetest Emmitt

Our dear friend Emmitt has gone over the rainbow. There is a beautiful goodbye posted on he and his mom's blog. Though we are incredibly sad, we are so glad we knew Emmitt.

Not only did we know him through his blog but we knew him through his mom's, Melissa, art. Years ago, when Pearl was still little, I came across Melissa's work. I told my husband about a puggie watch I wanted and he bought it for me. I love that watch and the sweet puggie face on it. I didn't know until later when I joined the blogging community that Melissa's work was inspired by Emmitt. Through Melissa's work, Emmitt's spirit will live on because his Mom loved him so much. We think there's nothing more wonderful in life than that - to be inspired by love and to pass that love on to others.

Goodbye sweet Emmitt. We love you!

February Giveaway Week 3

Pearl here!

I am happy to sit under this chair draped in a blankie but Mommy says it's time for our third and final giveaway this month.

This week we're giving away a whole stuffie diaroama! (Mommy isn't sure she spelled that word right...hmmm...don't ask moi).

Now, normally Daisy and I aren't crazy about squirrels because they run through our yard but this one is okay. He just sits with his acorn and mushroom and minds his own business. We think whoever wins him will find him a good friend - or least not one who is going to eat all the bird seed in your backyard (so far we haven't seen him eating a thing which is kind of weird but kind of good too since he's not trying to eat our food).

To enter the contest, leave a comment on this post anytime up until Sunday at midnight. On Monday, me and my creepy sister will randomly choose a winner.

Happy last weekend of February everyone!

Let's get a closer sniff at the treats. Mmmm...yummmmm...

Well, hello, there pinkie. How are you?

Mind if we bite your bum?

We hope not because there's a lot more bum biting to come.

Thank you so much Jemima for the great giveaway and all our lovely gifties!

February Giveaway Week 2

Mommy always tells us that she couldn't love us more but we thought that maybe she could love us more if we were also owls.

But Mommy said no because the thought of puggies flying was scary to her.

Anyhoohoo, Mommy loves us and loves owls so she's giving away an owl for this weeks' February Giveaway!

To enter the giveaway, leave a comment sometime before Thursday at midnight. On Friday, me and my sister will randomly choose a winner.

Flashback Friday

We dipped into our old photos and found this - Pearl from 10 years ago when we lived in Texas:

And this one of Daisy when she was a couple of months old. I had emailed the breeder to ask if they had any pictures. This is what they sent. The hubbie and I had been undecided about getting another dog but when we got this...well...you know what happened.

Daisy got her stitches out today! We are all so relieved. She hadn't been wearing the "punishment ring" (how she thinks of it) all the time. We put it on her when we weren't home or at night - times when she goes in her crate. It was hard to get her in and out of the crate with the donut on so life can now go back to normal. Yayz!

We have a winner!

Daisy here!

I have some excitings news! Earlier today, Mommy and I wrote out the names of people who entered our contest this week. We put each name on a separate piece of paper.

Then we folded each paper up and put them into my bed:

Then I stepped into my bed and Mommy picked up the first piece of paper I stepped...and...drum roll please...Lorenza won!

Lorenza, please email us pearlanddaisy at gmail dot com and we will send you your kitty cat!

Thanks to everyone for playing! Don't forget to check in next Monday when we have our second February give away. Here is a hint to what we will be giving away: hoohoo

Wonderful Crocheted Cookies!

Pearl here!

We won some adorable cookies from Auntie Melissa and Emmitt. But I don't think we can trust Daisy with them. I mean look at her eyes - she's just waiting to eat them. And they are not for eating. They are for cuteness which Daisy and I know a lot about - since we are pretty cute (yeah, even Daisy).

So, Mom, just let me watch over the cookies. 'K?

You can trust me. Honest.

Pee-ess: Thank you so much Melissa & Emmitt!

Giveaway!

Mom! Come on! It's time to tell everyone about the giveaway this month! Can't you see how excited I am? I even knocked my bed over.

It's time for" It's the Month Mom is Getting Older/Daisy's Lump Was Nothing" giveaway or as Mommy likes to call it "February" giveaway.

So what are we giving away to celebrate? Stuff! That Mommy has made!

Okay, last year Mommy became addicted to crochet. Recently, she's been crazy about making little yarn animals called "amigurumi" - sounds yummy but don't eat them! Each week for the rest of the month, Mommy is going to give away a different amigurumi she's made. This week she's giving away this:

Yeah, I know. It's kind of awful because it's a CAT. Can you believe Mommy made a cat? But she did.

To enter the contest, all you need to do is a leave a comment on this post - you can do it anytime up until Wednesday at midnight. After that time, Mommy will collect all the names and put them into a basket and then Daisy or I will randomnly choose a winner.

That's it!

Aw, Mom, not now!

What's that, Mom? You want us to tell our friends about our super duper - "It's the Month Mom is Getting Older/Daisy's Lump Was Nothing" Giveaway that is starting this week?

But, Mom, can't you see I'm sleeping in the closet? Can't you ask Daisy?

Uh, oh. Looks like Daisy isn't much more awake than I am. I guess I can't blame her. It was a stressful week waiting for the results of her biopsy.

But she's all clear! Dr. G. said it was a "localized growth" and that it was kind of like a big wart under her skin. Well, that fits because Daisy is just a like big wart herself.

But anyhoodlies...we're a bit too sleepy today to talk about the giveaway, but tomorrow we'll be sure to tell you all the details and maybe even start giving away stuff!

My new inner tube

Daisy here!

So my life just keeps getting weirders and weirders but now it's BETTER than before because I got rid of the stupid cone of shame and gots this: my new inner tube. Now I has to wonder if Mommy has lost all her marbles just like Dr. G. I mean, Mommy! It's not time to go to the beach and play with my inner tube in the waters! (that is what we do with inner tubes, right?)

But it's okay. Better than okay because this new inner tubey feels much better. My neck was all red and sore from the cone. This is much cozier. I wants to thank my friends over at Southern Fried Pugs for telling Mommy about this tubey.

But I still say I'm not going to the beach. Unless it's in Aruba.
