A new award from a new friend!

We got a lovely award from our wonderful new friends, Sue and Roscoe!

Here are the award's rules:

1. Link to the person who tagged you.

2. Post rules on your blog.

3. Write five random things about yourself.

4. Tag random people at the end of your post and link to them.

5. Let each person know they've been tagged.

Since there are 3 of us, we'll split up the 5 random things:
1. Sue - I've always wanted to play the drums and I have been thinking about taking an African drumming class
2. Pearl - Sometimes when Daddy picks me up, I fart. We call it "playing the Pugpipes"
3. Daisy - I like to dig holes in the back yard! I don't know why! I just like to!
4. Pearl - Every night I sleep with the very first stuffie I ever got. Her name is Baby.
5. Daisy - I like to chase my ball when Mommy throws it! But then I just stand and stare at it! Mommy has to come and get it and throw it again! It's great exercise for her!

We're tagging Rosie, Pugsley and Timmy!

Have a great weekend everybody!

True Colours Thursday

Daisy here!

We're playing True Colors Thursday again! Today's color is beige.

Some very important things in our lives are beige.

Blind Doodles

Pug Mama, Sue, here!

Inspired by Melissa at Pug Notes and her blind doodles, I attempted a few of my own. I've never been a very good drawer (is that even the word? LOL - I sound like a piece of furniture) and I'm not good at all with color but I had a lot of fun with these.

Melissa has also posted other bloggers' doodles on her blog. Head on over there if you want to check them out - they are all so good!

Your Royal Pugness

Pearl here!

Awhile back Mommy had this great idea to Photoshop me and my sister into historical figures for a Thursday Thirteen post. This is as far as she got:

Can you tell who I am? There's a Herman's Hermits song about me!

Mommy kind of gave up the project because it was a lot of work and then recently she learned of a site called Face In the Hole which basically sticks your face into different pictures.

Create your own FACEinHOLE

It's pretty hilarious and a whole lot less work than Photoshopping your own so now she's really not going to take up the historical puggie project.

True Colours Thursday

Daisy here!

It's Thursday so that means it's time for True Colours. This week's color is green.

I love this plant. It tastes great.

This is Mommy's address book.

Here I am modeling one of our beds.

We all love green beans!

This is Mr. Celery. He used to have a nose.

Pearl is modeling one of Mommy's towels.

Happy St. Patty's!!

Pearl here!

Mommy took pictures of me and Daisy to post for St. Patrick's Day (or Happy Guinness Day if you're Daddy) but Daisy didn't want to cooperate. She's a crazy puppy like that.

Last year, we wore our shamrock bowties around our necks but this year Mommy thought she'd switch things up and put them on our heads. I look adorable and Daisy...well, every time Mommy put it on, Daisy shook it off. So Daisy looks...drunk while she's in the middle of shaking the bow off her head.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

True Colours Thursday

Daisy here!

After weeks of seeing our friends Tibby and Lorenza playing True Colours Thursday, we decided we wanted to play, too.

Blue runs the meme so if you want to play, too, drop by her blog!

Now, onto this week's color - violet!

Even though it's one of Mommy's favorite colors, we had a bit of a hard time finding things but that didn't stop Mommy from taking about a bajillion pictures (sometimes it's hard to get her away from her camera - we think she may love it nearly as much as loves us!)

Mr. Grape is one of our favorite and oldest toys. Mommy bought the flowers for herself for her birthday a couple of weeks ago (they're still going strong).

The hand-painted ceramic sun is one of Mommy's all time favorite things. She bought it on a wonderful trip to Mexico. The plate is only one of two - it's not part of Mommy's regular dishes but she saw it and loved it.

Zout! cleans anything. Except us. The clock is another all-time Mommy faves. Mommy's been working on the dollhouse for a little while now.

The clip is also a magnet that sticks to our fridge and usually holds stamps. That's Pearl's Hello Kitty toothbrush. She doesn't like having her toofies brushed but I do!

Next week's color is green!

Crunchy!

Pearl here! Winter is gone! We have no snow left in our yard and it was a little bit sunny on the weekend, so I was out by the bush where I like to sit. The grass was a little crunchy but it was good.

After Daddy saw our blog last Thursday, he complained that there were no pictures. At first, me and Daisy were like, Dad! That's so mean! Mommy worked hard on that post! but then we came to our senses and realized that yes, that post needed pictures - of us of course. (we're thinking of maybe replacing Mommy with Daddy as our blog secretary. We'll ask him what he thinks and get back to you).

In response to Daddy, Mommy went and found a picture of Daisy and her favorite red ball.

And now we have to go because Mommy is trying to learn how to make an iMovie. We're all in favor of that even though every time she gets out the video camera we stop doing whatever we were doing that made her get it out in the first place.

You're fired!

Pearl here. We're going to have to fire Mommy as blog secretary because it's been forever since she posted anything. Between her birthday last week, being sickies, and getting ready for her Bollywood dance performance this weekend, she hasn't had time to do the really important things in life like post news about us and gives us as many treats as we can fit in our bellies.

To get Mommy moving, we had to get to get mean and be like, "Mommy this is ridiculous! Four of our wonderful friends - Rosie, Pearl, Timmy and Brutus gave us the Honesty Award. We have to thank them! We have to post it! We have to have cookies now!" (okay that part we didn't say but we should have).

Mommy's response was all, "Dudes*, I'm so sorry. I'll get posting right away, right after American Idol* even though I can't believe they are bringing TATIANA back for the wild card show."

(* she didn't really call us "dudes" but we wish she did because it's cool)

(** she didn't post anything after American Idol because she went to bed)

So with further ado or maybe lots of ado we don't know! because we don't know what ado means!...thank you sweet fuzzy friends for the Honesty Award. Here it is and here's what it means:

"When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows he or she is real. Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends. Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog.” Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on!"

Since there's two of us, we split the 10 things into 5 each. I'll start because I'm the oldest:

1. If the weather is bad and by bad I mean wet, cold or snowy, I don't like going outside. My parents push me out to do my business and sometimes I run right back in without going. They will try everything to get me to go, but you know what they say? You can lead a pug to grass but you can't make her pee. They call me a camel because of how long I can hold it.

2. My favoritist person in the whole world is Mommy.

3. When people come over, I get so excited, I grab my bone and bring it to them! But I don't want them to touch it.

4. I hate dancing. When Mommy dances I bark and bump into her calves. Sometimes when I'm really mad, I hump her leg.

5. I used to fart A LOT especially at 5pm. Mommy called it the Five O'Clock Farts but as I've gotten older, I don't do it as much.

And now Daisy's:
1. I am a Daddy's girl.

2. But as soon as the sun goes down, I'm all Mommy's. I like to sit on her legs on the reclining sofa.

3. I'm a scaredy pug. Sometimes I sit on the stairs and look out the window at the street and bark. I don't know what I'm barking at exactly but I'm sure there are scary things out there!

4. I love my red ball. When I'm tired I walk around with it in my mouth and I'm really really tired I get in my bed and suckle it.

5. I like to watch TV but I don't like anything yellow. Some of the soccer teams Daddy watches have yellow jerseys. I have to bark at them.

Since Mommy's so late posting this award, we're pretty sure everyone else has already done it so we're going to pass this on to anyone who would like to do it!
