Daddy Service Announcement

Dear Daddy,

It's me, your pug Daisy. Since Mommy sprained her hip last night at Bollywood dance class, I have been taking very good care of her. I've been lying on top of her when she's icing her leg and sitting with her while she's on her lap top (exhibit A below)

But I can only do so much. What Mommy needs is more Supernatural to help her heal. Since she's almost through Season One, my sister and I think you should buy her this - it is her birthday next week after all!

And who knows how long Mommy's hip will be sore and she'll have to stay on the couch with me? So I'm thinking maybe you should get Season 3 while you're at it just to be on the safe side.

Love.
Daisy

Valentine's Meet Up

Daisy here! We had a special Meet Up on the weekend. It was for Valentine's Day and I had a lot of important things to do.

First, I had to greet people. I find they like it best when I sit at their feet. It makes it easy for them to pat me and I know that's exactly what they want to do.

Then I had to make sure this little boy was okay. He was lying on the floor for minutes before I came along to lick his face. I don't know what he would have done if I hadn't rescued him!

Then I had to make a new friend - Winston!

I think he liked me. He even gave me a kiss! I wonder if this makes us Valentine sweethearts? Hmmm....

After kissing my new friend, I then had to enter the kissing contest. I was pretty pooped by the time I had to compete and so I only managed one little bitty kissy. It was so fast Mommy didn't get a chance to take a picture of it.

My little kissy wasn't much but my friend, Benny gave the bestest, lickiest kisses ever! Here is post-competition relaxing.

While I was busy doing all my important pug stuff, Pearl was toodling around the place making sure everything was in order - and looking for cookies.

And Mommy was buying raffle tickets for this super duper pug lamp.

When Pearl didn't find any cookies, she decided to relax.

And pretty soon we were both so tuckered out, we had to lie down.

People were laughing at how pooped we were but they didn't know all the work we did! We're pretty sure if they had, they would have been tired just hearing about it and would have plunked down beside us.

I'll go out tomorrow

Dear Mom,

Have you seen the weather? It's windy and rainy and yucky. Really not pug weather. I mean you don't want me to blow away, do you?

So I think I'll just stay right here in the cozy house keeping my tender tootsies dry and warm. I can do my business tomorrow when it stops wind-ing.

Your pug,
Pearl

Stinky Reading

Daisy here! Mommy went to the library today and bought 5 used magazine for 25 cents. She was really happy because she loves magazines and loves to save money but I wasn't so sure.

Hey, Mom! There's something stinky in the magazine basket!

Helping with my investigation, Mommy spread the library magazines on the floor so I could see which one was stinking up the joint.

It was kind of hard to tell so I got my sister, Pearl, to join in.

We narrowed it down to the 3 Real Simple magazines and then I really got down to work. As you can see, I didn't want to leave any page unsniffed.

Yep! That was the one. Stink-a-roo! Strangely enough, Mommy didn't seem to smell anything and put the magazine right back in the basket!

Fluffy Blast From the Past

Pearl here!

We met a new friend this week named Rusty, a Yorkie who reminded Mommy of her childhood dog, Bonnie. Bonnie wasn't a Yorkie but she looked a lot like one. She was actually an Australian Silky Toy Terrier.

Mommy dug out some pictures. This is Bonnie in her wicker basket bed. She looks cute but I sure wouldn't like a wicker bed! I like my beds as soft and squishy as they come! Bonnie, Mommy tells me, loved her bed though.

This is Mommy and Bonnie - notice Bonnie's hair? Yeah, we did too. Let's just say we're glad we don't have long hair or you just know we would have spouts.

Bonnie had two litters of puppies. Mommy doesn't remember which litter these little cuties were from but she does remember everything about them - from the way they came to be (a Yorkie male came over one day. Mommy wasn't alllowed in the basement), to the litter box Grandpa made to the way they scrambled around the kitchen floor. Mommy didn't want the puppies to ever leave but if they didn't, Mommy's family would have 7 dogs!

This is Mommy's bike and Bonnie's puppies. Hmmm...I think they are little to young to go riding, Mom!
